Instagram is the most visited and popular social media platform out there right now.And, I know everyone likes to be popular out there with Professional looking Instagram feed, like a Model.So, here's some tips & tricks on How to take Instagram Pictures like a Model ?
Even if you don't have a professional photography camera or a photographer or even if you're not living in a beautiful vintage looking city or town.It's okay, you're still going to get that Pro shots for your Instagram feed.
- Step 1 - Planning : You're not always lucky to capture a cute or perfect shot that you can post on your Instagram.You need to Plan girl.You can plan what works for you (like a neutral color Instagram feed or a colorful one), take inspiration from other pictures that you can find on Instagram or Pinterest (that way you can have an idea in your mind that what kind of shot you can take,how to pose etc that kind of good stuff).
- Step 2 - Location : It's a must for a masterpiece shot.You need to choose your location according to the aesthetic you are going for in your Instagram feed.You can use a wall, a staircase, or you can even pay for location like to go and photo-shoot in a Museum, walk-through gardens, cafe or restaurants etc, or even at home (near window, curtains behind you, on bed if you have something cute or sassy on the wall of the bed, a big sofa or chair near curtains or in a corner with a window light) etc.
- Step 3 - Lighting : It's important like it can make or break your picture.It's not necessary to have studio lights.You can use the natural Window light coming in to your room or take outdoor shots ( like sunlight coming through tree leafs, half shadow & half sunlight, golden hour shots are the best kind of shots).Play with the lighting use some sort of glare or something into the camera lens etc.
- Step 4 - Your Photographer : Now who's taking your pictures it can be your friend, mom, dad, brother or sister or no one.There's some tools available online that you can purchase to hold your mobile or camera with Bluetooth button thing, which make easy for you to plan and take your own pictures but if ya don't have that it's okay you can ask someone to take it for you but it's obviously not gonna be a same view point of you and your photographer or even if they are not so good at taking pictures then here's the trick, Show them the picture from which you're inspired to take a picture.Tell them to take exact same type of picture from same type of angle (like take this much of you in the picture, crop this much of your hair or you from the picture).Just tell them to take a exact same type of picture as your example pic.
- Step 5 - Practice your Posing : Like you're the main subject of your Instagram pictures.You need to be look good, like a Model in your pictures. So, it's important to pose like a Model in your pictures.Take inspiration from other model accounts on Instagram or magazines and observe How they pose and how they use their location and background to pose and practice those poses on yourself in front of mirror or try to take some random practice shots and see what works the Best for you.And choose some Best go-to poses for yourself and which angle works the Best for you plus the props you can use to pose (like an umbrella, your cap, play with your hair, your bag or coffee cup, your glasses, a flower, your coat, or like if you're reading a magazine or book etc.)
